A seminar featuring the cutting-edge Apolex Tite device, a high-frequency, non-surgical system for facial contouring and fat-tightening, was recently held at Fresh ENT Clinic in Seoul. Led by Dr. Taehwan Ahn, a seasoned practitioner with extensive experience using this device, the seminar offered attendees a unique opportunity to gain practical insights and witness a live demonstration of Apolex Tite in action.
A Look at Apolex Tite’s Advantages

During his lecture, Dr. Ahn delved into the specifics of Apolex Tite, comparing it to other devices he has worked with, including Accusculpt (laser-based), LSSA (ultrasound-based), and FaceTite (bipolar RF). He highlighted its distinct advantages, particularly its monopolar RF system operating at a low-frequency energy of 500kHz. "Unlike conventional RF devices, Apolex Tite uses a monopolar RF system with 500kHz low-frequency energy, which safely melts fat with minimal surface damage and allows for a quicker recovery", explained Dr. Ahn.
One of the device's standout features is its built-in temperature sensor, which automatically halts operation if the treated area exceeds 60°C. Dr. Ahn emphasized that this innovation addresses safety concerns such as burns, nerve damage, and excessive heat accumulation that were common with older bipolar RF systems. He described this safety mechanism as a game-changer in the field of non-invasive facial treatments.

Innovations in Facial Contouring and Treatment Strategies
Dr. Ahn further elaborated on how Apolex Tite delivers RF energy to the superficial fat layer, refining facial contours while boosting collagen remodeling. "Rather than targeting deep fat, Apolex Tite focuses on the superficial fat layer, enabling more natural and uniform contour enhancement", he noted. The device’s application areas span the double chin, nasolabial folds, and buccal fat under the cheekbone, making it versatile for facial contouring.
The lecture also explored combination treatment strategies for enhanced outcomes. Dr. Ahn explained that pairing Apolex Tite with HIFU procedures like Ultherapy can amplify the V-line lifting effect. In addition, combining it with high-frequency devices such as Thermage can achieve both surface and deep skin tightening. He also noted that using Apolex Tite to reduce fat before thread lifting leads to more stable results, while combining it with fat-dissolving injections accelerates fat reduction.
Dr. Ahn highlighted the device’s efficiency in clinical settings, noting its short treatment time of approximately 8–16 minutes for both sides and its low consumable costs, which contribute to improved clinic productivity.
Live Demonstration and Clinical Precision
Following his lecture, Dr. Ahn conducted a live demonstration, showcasing the device’s capabilities on a patient. With an anatomical overview of facial fat layers, he demonstrated key techniques, such as the insertion of an 18G cannula, precise RF energy delivery, and tip movement for lifting. He specifically addressed concerns about safety near the marginal mandibular nerve, a critical region during facial procedures. "Since energy is emitted only from the tip, Apolex Tite allows precise control, making it extremely difficult to affect nerves inadvertently", he explained.
Positive Reception from Attendees
The seminar received significant praise from attending physicians, who were impressed by the device’s ability to simultaneously dissolve fat, regenerate collagen, and lift contours within a single platform. One participant remarked, "Seeing the live demonstration convinced me that Apolex Tite effectively compensates for the weaknesses of previous devices and has strong clinical potential."
Dr. Ahn’s insights and the hands-on demonstration provided attendees with a clear understanding of Apolex Tite’s practical applications and its potential to transform facial contouring treatments. The event underscored the device’s safety, efficiency, and versatility, cementing its role as an innovative tool in aesthetic medicine.
