Switching to Prospyr

Switching from ModMed to Prospyr

Short answer

Prospyr's onboarding team migrates your ModMed data for you: patient list & contact details, appointment history, purchase & package history, clinical notes, and chart photos. You don't export or rebuild anything. You review it before go-live, and white-glove migration is included for every system.

What comes over from ModMed

  • Patient list & contact details
  • Appointment history
  • Purchase & package history
  • Clinical notes
  • Chart photos

Moving a cash-pay aesthetic service line off ModMed brings the patient list, appointment history, purchase and package history, clinical notes, and chart photos with you — Prospyr's onboarding team runs the import and you review everything before go-live. Two ModMed-specific things to plan for. Claims, remittance, and payer ledgers have no equivalent in Prospyr and do not come across, because Prospyr does not offer insurance billing today (it is on the roadmap). And ModMed publishes EHI export data dictionaries for both single-patient and bulk population exports as PDFs on modmed.com, revised as recently as 2026 — that is the document to start from when you request your export.

What doesn't come over cleanly

Some things don't come over cleanly from every system. We tell you exactly what before you commit, not after you find out.

How the move works

  1. We audit what you have

Before you commit, we look at your current system and tell you exactly what comes over, what needs review, and what doesn't survive the trip.

  2. We move it ourselves

Our team runs the migration — not a CSV template you're left to fill in. Your team keeps seeing patients while it happens.

  3. You review everything

Nothing goes live until you've checked the records that matter to you. If something is wrong, we stay on it until it is right.

  4. You go live with help in the room

Onboarding and training are included, and a person — not a ticket queue — walks your team through the first days.

Before you leave ModMed

  • Check your agreement for the contract term, notice period, and any exit or data-access fees.
  • Keep read access to your old records for your retention period, so older charts and photos stay reachable after the move.
  • Pick a go-live date outside your busiest weeks, and keep your old system active until you have reviewed the migrated records.
  • Tell patients about the new booking link before go-live, and update it on your website, Google profile, and social bios.
  • Cancel only after go-live is confirmed and your review is done.

Switching from ModMed: common questions

Can I switch from ModMed to Prospyr?

Yes. Prospyr's onboarding team migrates your ModMed data for you, you review it before go-live, and white-glove migration is included for every system.

Do I have to export my ModMed data myself?

No. Our onboarding team moves the data. You do not export or import anything yourself, and you review everything before go-live.

What if my system isn't listed?

We migrate from every system, not only the ones listed on our switching pages. Tell us what you use on a demo and we will tell you what comes over.

How long does it take?

It depends on your current system and how much history you have, so a blanket number would be a guess. You'll get the honest answer for your practice, in writing, before you commit.
