Best Laser Rental Companies for Med Spas (2026): 12 Compared
Best laser rental companies for med spas in 2026: 12 day-rental and 12-month programs compared by delivery area, technician support, pricing and terms.

For med spa owners and practice managers. Updated October 2, 2026 · Prepared by Prospyr. Prospyr makes practice software, not lasers or rental programs, and none of the companies below is a Prospyr product or partner. Each summary reflects what the company publishes on its own website, checked October 2026. Rental fees, delivery areas and device lists change often, so confirm every term in writing before you book patients.
What does a laser rental company do?
A laser rental company brings an aesthetic laser or energy device to your practice for a day, a week or a set term, so you can offer a treatment without buying a six-figure machine. Day-rental companies usually deliver the device, set it up, send a technician to support your provider during the session, and take it away at the end. You book the patients and do the treatments; they handle the device, its maintenance and its service contract. A second model, monthly or 12-month rentals, leaves the device with you longer, often with a rent-to-own option.

How we chose this list
We looked for companies that rent aesthetic lasers or energy devices to medical practices and med spas and that describe their program on their own website. Then we checked four things a practice manager can confirm before calling: whether the company publishes where it delivers, whether a technician or trainer comes with the device, whether it explains how it charges (per day, per treatment, monthly), and whether pricing or contract terms are published at all. Day-rental companies come first because that is what most practices mean by "renting a laser." The order is our editorial view, not a measure of results. Most of these companies are regional, so the best fit is usually whoever actually delivers to your zip code.
1. The Medical Device Source
The Medical Device Source describes itself as the largest cosmetic laser rental company in Texas, serving medical offices across South Texas. Its about page lists 1996 as its founding year, 300+ physicians served and inventory from 25+ manufacturers. It also sells pre-owned devices, buys and trades equipment, and offers repair.
What stands out:
- Published rental prices. Its rental page lists per-treatment prices by device and area. Examples as of October 2026: GentleMax Pro hair removal at $110 for underarms, Fraxel Dual at $500 for a full face, a standard Vbeam Perfecta treatment at $200, and a Zimmer cold air unit at $500 for a full day. It notes the prices are for reference and may be adjusted.

- No upfront cost. It advertises no out-of-pocket expense to start renting.
- Wide device list. Hair removal, vascular, fractional and CO2 resurfacing, RF microneedling, Ultherapy, Hydrafacial and hair restoration devices appear on the rental page.
Right for: South Texas practices that want to price a treatment day before calling. Ask: the minimum number of patients per rental day, how travel is charged, and who supplies consumables such as tips and gel.
2. Monarch Laser Services / Monarch Aesthetic Services
Monarch Laser Services rents and delivers cosmetic lasers across Northern and Southern California. Its popular rentals include the SmartXide PRO, Helios III, Sciton BBL and Perfecta pulsed dye laser. Its sister company, Monarch Aesthetic Services, states it is launching the rental program nationwide for laser hair removal, resurfacing, tattoo removal, pigment, vascular and scar treatments. Monarch Aesthetic Services says its CEO, Kevin Meyers, started Monarch Laser Services in 2012.
What stands out:
- California coverage. Delivery north and south, with a technician on rental day, according to a physician testimonial on its site.
- Rent and buy from one team. Free, no-obligation consultations and demos, plus device sales through the sister company.
Right for: California practices that want a broad fleet, and practices elsewhere that want to ask about the new national program. Ask: which devices the nationwide program delivers to your state and whether a technician travels with them.

Right for: practices in the Southeast that want a small, flexible vendor. Ask: where it delivers and whether a technician comes with each rental.
12. TryMed Rentals
TryMed Rentals (formerly Aesthetic Laser Rentals, founded 2021) is not a day-rental company. It rents aesthetic and wellness devices on a 12-month term, from laser hair removal and RF microneedling to red light and hyperbaric chambers. You pay the first month plus a startup fee. After 12 months you can return the device (you pay return shipping), renew, or buy it with 50% of rent paid credited toward the price. It covers maintenance and repairs except for misuse.
Right for: practices that want to run a treatment for a full year before deciding to buy. Ask: the purchase price the 50% credit applies to, and the startup fee. If you are leaning toward ownership, compare it with our list of aesthetic equipment financing companies.
Questions to ask any laser rental company
- Who is in the room? Ask whether a technician or laser safety officer stays for the whole session, and what they are and are not allowed to do under your state's rules. Your provider still treats the patient.
- How is it priced? Per day, per patient, per area or per pulse changes the math. Ask for a written quote for a realistic day, including travel and consumables (tips, gel, cryogen).
- What is the minimum and the cancellation rule? Ask for the minimum patients or hours per day, and what happens if patients cancel the morning of.
- Is the device maintained and calibrated? Ask for the last service date and who services it. Our post on calibration requirements for aesthetic devices covers what to look for.
- Who carries the liability? Confirm insurance on the device and on your practice, and whether your malpractice policy covers treatments on rented equipment.
- Does the provider need device training? Ask whether training or a certificate is included and whether it meets your state's requirements for that device.
- Can rental fees apply to a purchase? If you might buy, get the credit percentage and purchase price in writing.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent an aesthetic laser for a day?
It depends on the device and the company, and most do not publish rates. One of the few that does, The Medical Device Source, listed per-treatment rental prices in October 2026 such as $110 for underarm laser hair removal and $500 for a full-face Fraxel Dual treatment, with a technician included. Ask every company for a quote based on your expected patient count.
Is it better to rent or buy a laser?
Renting is usually better while you test demand for a treatment, and buying usually makes sense once you can fill the device most days of the month. Count the rental cost per month against a purchase or lease payment plus a service contract. If you decide to buy, compare used systems through our list of used aesthetic laser resellers.
Does a laser rental company provide the person who does the treatment?
Usually not. Most send a technician to deliver, set up and support the device, while your licensed provider treats the patient. Who may operate a laser is set by your state, so check your state's rules before the rental day.
Can I rent a laser if I don't have a medical director?
Most rental companies rent only to qualified medical practices, and your state's rules on supervision and delegation still apply on rental days. Confirm your medical oversight before you book. Our med spa licensing guide summarizes state rules.
