Best Online Aesthetic Education Platforms (2026): 8 Compared
Best online aesthetic education platforms for 2026: 8 compared on CME, published prices, course depth and who they serve, from IAPAM to ASLMS.

For clinicians. Updated October 2, 2026 · Prepared by Prospyr. Prospyr makes practice software, not clinical education, and none of the platforms below is a Prospyr product. Each summary reflects what the organization publishes on its own website, checked October 2026. Prices, CME credit and access terms change, so confirm them in writing before you pay.
What is an online aesthetic education platform?
An online aesthetic education platform is a website where physicians, NPs, PAs and nurses take aesthetic medicine courses on their own schedule: recorded lectures, live webinars, anatomy and cadaver video, business classes and, on some, AMA PRA Category 1 CME. Most are run by one of three groups: training companies that also teach hands-on courses, professional societies, and product manufacturers. Online learning is good for theory, anatomy, product updates and the business side. It does not replace supervised hands-on injecting or device training, and it does not change what your license allows.

How we chose this list
We looked for platforms that sell or provide aesthetic medicine education online to licensed clinicians, then checked:
- Real online content. A course catalog, webinar library or learning portal you can buy or join today, not only in-person workshops.
- Who teaches it. Named faculty, a professional society, or the manufacturer of the product you use.
- CME and credentials. Whether the platform states the type of credit it offers.
- Published price. Platforms that list prices ranked higher than those that ask you to call.
Three of these companies also appear in our list of aesthetics career coaches; here we look only at their online offerings. The order is our editorial view, not a measure of results.
1. IAPAM
The International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM) reports 20 years of training in botulinum toxin, aesthetic medicine and medical weight management. Its on-demand section offers self-paced online courses and certifications for licensed healthcare providers, with AMA PRA Category 1 CME.
What stands out:
- Published prices. Introduction to Botulinum Toxins, a Level 1 toxin-only certificate, is listed at $395 for 5 CMEs. A concierge business and certification bundle is listed at a regular price of $3,885 and is accredited for 13+ CMEs.
- Wide topic list. On-demand courses include PRP for aesthetics, hair restoration, peptide therapy, and stem cells and exosomes, alongside chemical peels and injectables.
- Business training. Practice setup and business courses sit next to the clinical ones.
Right for: a provider who wants CME-accredited theory before a hands-on course, or who is adding a service line. Ask: which certificates need a separate hands-on day, and whether the business content fits your state's ownership rules.
2. Empire On-Demand (Empire Medical Training)
Empire Medical Training reports a 28-year history of CME courses for physicians, nurses and dentists. Its online arm, Empire On-Demand, sells recorded courses, livestream workshops and memberships.
What stands out:
- Free live webinars. Empire GO is a weekly series led by Empire faculty and, often, product companies. It is free if you attend live; afterward it becomes a paid course. Empire reports 300 to 400 practitioners register each week.
- Memberships. Empire lists On-Demand Core (36+ courses, 6-month term) at $3,999 and On-Demand Plus (53+ courses, 1-year term) at $4,999, with up to 49.5 CME credits, as of October 2026. It often runs sales, so check its site for current pricing.
- Breadth. Topics run from toxins and fillers to energy devices, GLP-1 programs and med spa marketing.
Right for: a provider who wants many topics under one membership. Ask: which courses carry CME, whether a sale is running, and what renewal costs after the term ends.

Book a Demo3. AmSpa Learning Center
The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) runs an online learning center for med spa owners and providers. Prospyr is an AmSpa Platinum partner.
What stands out:
- Virtual Boot Camp. Recorded sessions on opening a legally compliant med spa, supervision and delegation, and treatment selection. Listed at $699 for non-members, $649 for Basic members and $499 for Plus members, with six months of access.
- Injection anatomy. The AIA Virtual Anatomy Lecture Series offers 5.5 hours of recorded education, including a full-face cadaver dissection and ultrasound demonstration, at $799 for non-members.
- AmSpa Masters. Single recorded clinical sessions at $275 for non-members, plus a webinar library for members.
Right for: owners and lead injectors who want the legal and business side alongside anatomy. Ask: whether any course carries CME or CE, and which state-specific rules it covers.
4. ASLMS Online Learning Center
The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) runs an online learning center with courses, live and recorded webinars and presentations on lasers and energy-based devices. It states many offerings are free to members. New in 2026, members can earn CME by watching recorded sessions from its annual conference.
Membership is listed at $400 for physicians and $140 for nursing and allied health, plus a $25 application fee, as of October 2026.
Right for: practices that run lasers, IPL or RF devices and want society-level safety and fundamentals education. Ask: which courses carry CME for nurses as well as physicians.
5. Injectables EDU
Injectables EDU trains RNs and APRNs in toxin and filler injection and the business of an aesthetic practice. It sells online courses, policy and procedure templates, consent paperwork, charting dot phrases and an Aesthetics MBA course. It also runs in-office shadowing in Richmond, Virginia, and Portland, Oregon.
It advertises a membership with access to its course library, tools and mentorship for $99 a month, as of October 2026, and a separate six-month mentorship program.
Right for: nurses building an injector business who want templates and coaching, not only lectures. Ask: what the $99 membership includes versus paid courses, and how to cancel.
6. Allergan Medical Institute
The Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) is the training arm of Allergan Aesthetics, maker of BOTOX Cosmetic and the JUVÉDERM collection of fillers. Allergan states AMI offers hands-on training, roundtables, national symposia, live webcasts and an online learning continuum for aesthetics providers and business owners. US providers use a separate AMI site.
Right for: practices that use Allergan products and want product-specific technique training. Ask: your Allergan representative which online modules you can access and whether any carry CME. Manufacturer training covers its own products.
7. Merz Aesthetics Exchange (MAX)
Merz Aesthetics runs MAX, the Merz Aesthetics Exchange, which it describes as an education program combining online learning, live meetings and hands-on training. Merz lists product demonstrations, virtual training, expert insights and live lectures. US customers sign in through the Merz Aesthetics portal.
Right for: practices using Merz Aesthetics products. Ask: what is open to new learners versus existing accounts, and whether courses carry CME.
8. Harley Academy
Harley Academy is a UK training provider with campuses in London and Manchester for doctors, dentists, nurses and clinical pharmacists. It delivers the Level 7 Diploma in Cosmetic Injectables, a UK qualification, and states it offers online aesthetic medicine courses for healthcare professionals anywhere in the world. It also runs a free AI-based microlearning site.
Right for: US clinicians who want evidence-based theory and don't need US CME. Ask: which online courses are open to US providers, and how UK qualifications are viewed by your state board and insurer.
Questions to ask any online aesthetic education platform
- What credit do I get? Ask whether courses carry AMA PRA Category 1 CME, nursing contact hours, or only a certificate.
- Is there a hands-on component? For injectables and devices, ask where and when supervised practice happens and what it costs.
- Who are the faculty? Ask for names, licenses and how many procedures they perform.
- How long does access last? Six months, a year, or for life? Does a membership renew automatically?
- Who funds the content? Manufacturer and sponsor-led sessions can be useful. Know when you're watching one.
- Does it cover my state? Business and legal content often reflects one state's rules. Check supervision and delegation with your own board.
Where Prospyr fits
Courses teach the treatment. Your practice system holds the charting and the memberships and packages you build around new services. If you're adding a service line after a course, it helps to set up the treatment template and pricing before the first patient. Practice owners can book a practice demo.
Frequently asked questions
Can you get Botox certified online?
You can complete theory online, and some platforms issue a certificate for it. Online theory does not give you supervised practice on patients, so most providers pair an online course with a hands-on day. Your licensing board decides who may inject and under what supervision.
Are online aesthetic courses accredited for CME?
Some are. IAPAM states its courses carry AMA PRA Category 1 CME, Empire lists CME credits with its memberships, and ASLMS offers CME on recorded conference sessions. Always check the credit type before you buy.
Is manufacturer training free?
Allergan and Merz run their own education programs, but neither publishes prices on the pages we checked. Ask your representative what your account includes.
What is the best online aesthetic training for nurses?
It depends on your goal. Injectables EDU is built for RNs and APRNs starting a business; ASLMS lists a nursing membership rate for laser education. See also our lists of PRP and hair restoration training and aesthetic complication support networks, and for estheticians, advanced esthetician schools.
