For med spa, plastic surgery and dermatology practices. Updated October 2, 2026 · Prepared by Prospyr. Prospyr makes practice software, not recruiting services, and none of the firms below is a Prospyr product. Each summary reflects what the firm publishes on its own website, checked October 2026. Fees, guarantees and terms change, so confirm everything in writing before you sign a search agreement.

What does an aesthetic recruiting firm do?

An aesthetic recruiting firm finds, screens and presents candidates for permanent roles in med spas, plastic surgery and dermatology practices: nurse injectors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, medical directors, aestheticians, patient care coordinators, front desk staff and practice managers. Most write or refine the job description, post and source candidates (including people not actively looking), run first interviews and reference checks, and help with the offer. Fees are usually a flat package, a retainer plus a placement fee, or a percentage of first-year pay. A replacement guarantee is common. This is different from staffing agencies that supply per diem or temporary injectors.

How we chose this list

There are few recruiters that work only in aesthetics, so we included any firm whose own website names med spas, aesthetic, plastic surgery or dermatology practices as a market and describes a recruiting service for them. Then we looked at four things a practice manager can check before a call:

  • Roles covered. Does the firm say it places the roles you need, from injectors and medical directors to front desk?
  • Published fee model. Flat package, retainer plus placement fee, or not stated.
  • Guarantee. Is there a replacement period or a pay-only-if-it-works promise, and what are its conditions?
  • Industry fit. Does the firm work only in aesthetics, or is aesthetics one market among several?

Several firms here are consulting firms with a recruiting arm, and some also appear on our other vendor lists for that consulting work. The order is our editorial view, not a measure of results.

1. JobSnob

JobSnob is a hiring service built for medical aesthetics and wellness. AmSpa's vendor directory describes it as AmSpa's exclusive recruiting partner. It offers two paths for employers.

What stands out:

  • Concierge recruiting. For injectors, practice managers, aestheticians and medical directors, JobSnob assigns a dedicated recruiter and provides full-cycle support from screening to hire, including outreach to passive candidates who are not applying for jobs.
  • Self-managed job board. For front desk, medical assistant and coordinator roles, a single job post is $550 for 60 days and three posts are $825, as of October 2026. Posts are included in candidate email campaigns and shown on Google Jobs.
  • Compensation data. AmSpa's listing says JobSnob also offers compensation data and other hiring tools.
  • Acquisitions. It also lists a service connecting owners planning an exit with buyers.

Right for: a med spa that hires support staff often and wants a specialist recruiter on hand for provider roles. Ask: the concierge fee for your role, the replacement terms, and how many candidates you can expect to see.

2. Diamond Accelerator

Diamond Accelerator, led by CEO Katlin Cauffman and reachable by an Idaho phone number, has worked with medical aesthetic and wellness practices since 2012. Its recruiting arm places injectors, practice managers, aesthetic nurses, patient coordinators and medical directors, and it runs a med spa job board.

What stands out:

  • Timeline. It states it will place a candidate "in the next 30-60 days" and handle onboarding.
  • Performance support. After placement, it says it helps make sure responsibilities are performed and practice KPIs are met, including training new hires on patient revenue.
  • Guarantee. It states: "if they don't perform, you don't pay."

Right for: a med spa that wants the hire and the new provider's ramp-up handled by one firm. Ask: how "perform" is defined in the agreement, what the fee is, and whether you must buy its consulting or marketing to use the recruiting service.

3. DermAesthetic Consulting

DermAesthetic Consulting is a med spa consulting firm with a full-service physician and provider recruiting program. It places medical directors, aesthetic nurse practitioners, aesthetic registered nurses and other clinical providers, and it runs an aesthetics job board for other roles.

What stands out:

  • Candidate floor. It states candidates need at least five years of aesthetic or clinical experience and are vetted for sales and patient performance, with background checks.
  • Paperwork. The program includes custom employment contracts, offer letters, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, and salary negotiation support. Have your own attorney review restrictive covenants, which vary by state.
  • Guarantee. A six-month guarantee with free replacement.

Right for: a new or growing med spa that needs a medical director or experienced injector and wants contracts drafted with the search. Ask: the fee and when it is due, and what "doesn't meet expectations" means for the guarantee.

4. Shorr Solutions

Shorr Solutions, based in Florida, is a consulting firm for med spas, plastic surgery practices and dermatology clinics that sells flat-rate hiring packages. The "Do It With You" package covers video interview screening, interview notes, a candidate selection consult, an offer letter and HR forms. The "Do It For You" concierge package adds writing the job description, posting, first-round screening and scheduling on-site interviews. It lists roles from receptionists, medical assistants and aestheticians to coordinators, marketing staff, practice administrators, PAs, NPs, nurse injectors and physicians.

Right for: practices that want to choose how much of the hiring work to hand off, at a flat rate. Ask: the price of each package, whether there is a replacement period, and who on the team runs your search.

5. PS² Practice Management

PS² Practice Management describes itself as "the consulting company of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons" and recruits for plastic surgery practices nationwide. It lists front desk and administrative staff, clinical and surgical staff, and patient care coordinators, and its open positions page lists current openings at practices it recruits for. A testimonial on its site describes recruiting a patient care coordinator for a solo practice.

Right for: a board-certified plastic surgeon's practice hiring coordinators or surgical team members. Ask: the fee model, whether you need to be an ASPS member, and how far its candidate network reaches in your market.

6. DoctorsManagement

DoctorsManagement, based in the Knoxville, Tennessee area, is a general practice consulting firm, not an aesthetics specialist. We include it because it publishes its recruiting terms. It recruits nurse practitioners, physician assistants, practice managers and administrators through a five-step process: intake call, search, interviews, references and feedback, then background check and offer.

Its fee is an initial flat retainer, with nothing more due until it presents two qualified candidates, then a placement fee of 15% of the role's first-year expected pay. Job postings, background checks and extra searches can cost more. If candidates don't fit, it says it repeats the search at no extra charge.

Right for: practices hiring an NP, PA or manager that want to know the fee before the first call. Ask: the retainer amount and how many aesthetic placements it has made.

7. Merraine Group

Merraine Group runs a dermatology executive search and recruitment practice. It states that it partners with dermatology practices and healthcare systems to recruit clinical, operational and executive leaders. Its site does not publish fees or a guarantee.

Right for: dermatology practices with a cosmetic side, or groups, that need a dermatologist, clinical provider or senior operator. Ask: how many of its searches are for cosmetic or aesthetic roles, its fee structure and its replacement period.

8. Aesthetics Talent

Aesthetics Talent was founded in 2019 by Sofia Lund, who the firm says worked inside aesthetic clinics before starting it. It recruits senior operational, commercial and leadership talent for aesthetic clinics, wellness and longevity businesses and industry brands, with roles across management, operations, guest experience and advanced clinical work. Its site does not state an office location.

Right for: a multi-location practice or brand hiring a director of operations or a commercial lead. Ask: whether it recruits in your state, how many US placements it has made, and its fee.

Questions to ask any aesthetic recruiting firm

  1. How is the fee structured, and when is it due? Compare a flat package, a retainer plus placement fee, and a percentage of first-year pay. Ask whether bonuses or commission count toward that pay.
  2. What exactly does the guarantee cover? Get the replacement period, the conditions (resignation, termination, performance) and whether you get a refund or only a new search.
  3. Who verifies licensure? Confirm the firm checks state licenses, DEA registration where relevant, and any board actions. You still need to credential the hire yourself.
  4. How do you find candidates? Ask how many come from job posts versus direct outreach to people already working in aesthetics, and whether the firm will approach staff at practices near you.
  5. Can you help with pay and contract terms? Injector pay plans and non-compete terms carry legal risk in some states, so ask what the firm provides and plan an attorney review.
  6. Do you also supply temporary staff? If you need cover while you search, ask whether the firm offers per diem providers or refers you to someone who does.
  7. May I speak to two practices you placed providers with? Ask for references from practices like yours, ideally a year after the hire.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to hire an injector through a recruiter?

Most aesthetic recruiters do not publish fees. DoctorsManagement publishes a retainer plus 15% of first-year expected pay for NP, PA and manager searches, and JobSnob charges $550 for a 60-day job post if you run the hiring yourself. Ask each firm for a written quote for your specific role.

Should I use a recruiter or a staffing agency?

Use a recruiter for permanent hires and a staffing agency for temporary or per diem cover. Recruiters charge once for a placement; staffing agencies bill by the shift or hour and employ the provider themselves. Our list of injector staffing agencies covers the second option.

What does a recruiter guarantee usually include?

Usually a replacement search if the hire leaves or is let go within a set period. DermAesthetic Consulting states a six-month guarantee with free replacement, and Diamond Accelerator says you don't pay if the hire doesn't perform. Read the conditions, because many guarantees exclude layoffs or changes to the role.

Can a recruiter fill front desk roles too?

Yes, though it is often cheaper to post those roles yourself. JobSnob and Shorr Solutions both list front desk and medical assistant roles. If phone and inbox coverage is the gap, a remote option may help; see our list of virtual assistants for medical practices. Before any clinical hire starts, run through a credentialing check.
