Top 10 Botox and Filler Training Courses in 2026
Compare 10 Botox and dermal filler training courses for nurses, NPs, PAs and physicians: live-model hands-on time, CME credit and published tuition.

For nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians and dentists. Updated October 2, 2026 · Prepared by Prospyr. Prospyr makes practice software, not injector training, and none of the programs below is a Prospyr product. Each summary reflects what the program publishes on its own website, checked October 2026. Dates, tuition and credit hours change often, so confirm everything in writing before you register.
What does a Botox and filler training course teach?
A Botox and filler training course teaches licensed clinicians facial anatomy, patient assessment, dosing and injection technique for neuromodulators and hyaluronic acid fillers, and how to recognize and manage complications such as vascular occlusion. Most combine online lessons with one to four days of hands-on injecting on live models, and many award CME or CE credit. A course certificate does not change your scope of practice. Your license and your state's rules decide whether, and under whose supervision, you can inject. The real differences between programs are how many patients you inject, class size, follow-up mentoring and price.

How we chose this list
We loaded each program's own website and kept those that teach neuromodulator and filler injection to licensed US clinicians. We then compared four things you can check before paying a deposit:
- Hands-on time. Whether you inject live models yourself, and how many.
- Accredited credit. Whether the program names its CME or CE accreditor.
- Published price. Whether tuition is on the website.
- Support after class. Shadowing, mentoring or advanced levels.
The order is our editorial view, not a measure of results. Some of these programs also appear in our lists of aesthetics training for dentists and aesthetics career coaches; here they are compared on injector training alone.
1. Empire Medical Training
Empire Medical Training reports training more than 200,000 healthcare professionals since 1998, with courses in 35+ US cities. Its injector track includes Botulinum Toxin Training (Level I), Complete Dermal Filler Training, and an Advanced Botulinum Toxin and Filler course.
What stands out:
- Published prices. Individual courses start at $799, some run to $2,995 by type and location, and bundles start at $3,499, as of October 2026.
- Credit. It lists 8 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for each of its Botox, filler and advanced courses.
- Supervised injecting. It states every in-person session includes supervised practice on live models.
- Broad eligibility. Physicians, NPs, PAs, RNs and dentists.
Right for: clinicians who want a short, credit-bearing course near home. Ask: how many patients you personally inject, the class size, and what support you get after the course.
2. National Laser Institute
National Laser Institute runs medical aesthetics training from campuses in Scottsdale, Arizona; Dallas, Texas; and Oak Brook, Illinois, and lists 15+ training locations. Its CE/CME Cosmetic Injection Course covers Botox, dermal fillers, facial balancing, PRP/PRF, PDO threads and facial anatomy.
What stands out:
- Live models only. It states "We train on live models only (no mannequins)" and supplies 100% of class models.
- Four days in person. Listed class dates run four days, with an online option.
- Small classes. It advertises a 3:5 instructor-to-attendee ratio.
Right for: new injectors who want more chair time than a one-day course. Ask: tuition, which is not published, the number of credit hours, and how many injections each attendee performs.
3. IAPAM
The International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM) was founded in 2006 and reports training 15,000+ providers. Its three-day Hands-On Symposium in Scottsdale, Arizona includes Botox injection training on live models led by board-certified dermatologists, and its online Learning Lab gives 12 months of self-paced access. Both award AMA PRA Category 1 credit.
Right for: physicians, NPs and PAs new to aesthetics; it states no prior experience is required. Its symposium also covers fillers, chemical peels and GLP-1 weight management protocols. Ask: the current tuition, how much of the three days is hands-on, and which neuromodulators you will use.

Right for: clinicians who want a near-term date in their own city. Its calendar lists two-day events at $1,797 to $4,997 depending on courses chosen, as of October 2026. Ask: whether you must bring your own model patient to inject, which the site indicates for some courses.
5. Injectables EDU
Injectables EDU was co-founded by nurse anesthetists Cassie Lane, CRNA, DNAP, and Suzanne Jagger, DNP, CRNA, and trains RNs and APRNs. In-person classes cap at 12 attendees with a 1:6 instructor ratio and full-face training, with 2026 dates listed in Richmond, Dallas, Orlando and Chicago.
Right for: nurses who want a nurse-led program with published prices: $699 online only or $1,799 for in-person plus online, as of October 2026. It lists 6.35 CE hours by AANP. Ask: how many patients you inject and what its six-month mentorship adds.
6. American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine (AACM)
The American Academy of Cosmetic Medicine, based in Kirkland, Washington, offers a 10-hour Beginner course and a 20-hour Comprehensive course in neuromodulators and fillers, plus a self-paced online course. The in-person courses include four or five clinical shadow days, and all courses list 8.5 CME credits.
Right for: RNs, NPs, PAs, physicians and dentists who want to watch real treatment days after class. Ask: tuition, which is not published, and whether you inject during shadow days or only observe.
7. Elite NP Aesthetic Medicine Certificate
Elite NP's Aesthetic Medicine Certificate is led by Dr. Tara J. Delle Chiaie, DNP, FNP-BC, who owns an aesthetic practice and founded DCCM Academy. It has four modules: upper and mid-face neurotoxin, mid-face filler, lips and lower face, and consultation and treatment planning. Hands-on sessions have you inject real patients with live correction.
Right for: clinicians who prefer a longer program: it lists $5,999, 32 contact hours, and states most finish in three to six months, with a year to complete. Ask: where hands-on days are held, since you must be licensed in that state.
8. Aesthetic Training Academy by SDBotox
Aesthetic Training Academy was started by Dr. Alex Roher, who founded the SDBotox practice group in Southern California in 2012. Its Botox and Filler Certification Course for New Injectors runs five weeks: four weeks online, then one week hands-on with 30+ live patient models. It states it is accredited by the California Board of Nursing.
Right for: new injectors who want more patients than a weekend course gives and a before-and-after portfolio. Ask: tuition, which is not published, and where the hands-on week takes place.
9. The Aesthetic Immersion
The Aesthetic Immersion, led by Dr. Gideon Kwok and Lori Robertson in Brea, California, offers a Foundations for Aesthetic Injectors course and Dissecting Aesthetics, a cadaver and injection training series for new and experienced injectors. It also offers virtual training, mentorship and a webinar library with CE-certified programs.
Right for: injectors who want to see facial anatomy in cadaver dissection, often a gap in short courses. Ask: prices, course length and eligibility, none of which is published on its homepage.
10. American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM)
The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine reports training over 20,000 physicians in 30 countries since 1999. Its Level 1 Certificate course (3 days) covers botulinum toxin and dermal fillers and is open to physicians. Level 2 is a 5-day diploma course including complications, and Level 3 is a board exam.
Right for: physicians who want a multi-level pathway. It publishes fees: Level 1 at $2,700 member or $2,900 non-member, and Level 2 at $4,000 or $4,200, as of October 2026, with US dates listed in Chicago, Miami, Houston and Phoenix. Ask: how many patients you inject in Level 1.
Questions to ask any Botox and filler training program
- How many patients will I inject myself? Ask for a number, not "hands-on." Watching a demo is not the same as injecting.
- Who provides the models and product? Some programs supply both; others ask you to bring a model.
- What is the class size and instructor ratio? Smaller groups mean more correction while you inject.
- Who accredits the credit? Look for a named accreditor, such as AMA PRA Category 1, ANCC or AANP, and the number of hours.
- How is vascular occlusion covered? Ask whether complication management, including hyaluronidase use, is taught and practiced.
- Will this course let me inject in my state? No program can expand your scope of practice. Check your state board's rules on supervision and delegation before you pay.
- What happens after class? Ask about mentoring, refresher seats and advanced levels.

Frequently asked questions
Can registered nurses take Botox and filler training?
Yes. Most programs on this list accept RNs, and Injectables EDU trains only RNs and APRNs. Whether an RN can inject after training depends on your state's nursing rules and supervision requirements, so check with your state board first.
How long does Botox and filler training take?
From one day to several months. Many courses are one or two days in person, National Laser Institute's injection course runs four days, and Elite NP's certificate typically takes three to six months. Longer programs usually mean more patients injected under supervision.
How much does Botox and filler training cost?
Published prices on this list range from $699 for an online course to $5,999 for a multi-month certificate, as of October 2026. Several programs do not publish tuition. Ask whether product, models and credit fees are included.
Is a Botox certification required to inject?
There is no single national Botox certification. Your professional license and state rules govern who may inject. Ask your employer, medical director and malpractice carrier what training records they need. A certificate shows you completed a course; it does not expand your scope.
What should I learn after a basic course?
Most injectors move to advanced toxin and filler courses, complication management and anatomy training, such as cadaver labs. If you plan to add devices, see our list of laser certification courses, and for structured mentoring, our list of aesthetic nurse residency programs.
